Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer II, you'll work in an agile, collective environment. You will be using your skills and expertise to define, design, develop, test, certify and improve cutting-edge software products. You'll perform coding, securing, debugging, testing, releasing and troubleshooting of software throughout our development process. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, CMMC Level Certifications while enabling staff, partners, and customers.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Must-haves:

  • Experience in Azure or AWS
  • Linux troubleshooting
  • Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, Python (Boto3), AWS CLI, or Azure CLI
  • Self-motivated with ability to effectively, prioritize multiple projects
  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and processes
  • Containerization & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • Hypervisors (VMWare)
  • IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
  • CI/CD Pipeline experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with typically 3-5 or more years of relevant experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Preferred:

  • Experience applying STIG and troubleshooting Secured/STIG’d systems
  • CI/CD Pipelines (YAML Based): AWS, Azure, GIT Hub
  • Basic Networking knowledge (VLANS, layer 2, Firewall Rules)
  • Familiarity with Designing, Building, and Fielding Systems while using engineering best practices for Configuration Management and Documentation.
  • Atlassian toolset with the following priority (Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence)
  • Checkmarx, Fortify, SonarQube, Aqua, Twistlock
  • M365/O365 experience and Identity Architecture (SAML, OAuth, AzureAD, Okta, etc….)
  • Experience in containerized software loads: Docker, container deployment, Docker swarm, Docker security hardening
  • Azure Government
  • Java: Maven based project experience, Artifact management (Nexus, Artifactory) Distributed system experience (Kafka)
  • Visio and diagramming skills/experience
  • Linux: ISCSI & Network booting, RHEL, KickStart, Velocity templates
  • AWS Government

Estimated Starting Salary: $95,298.10 - $131,034.89
