About Us
- Note: This role is initially for a senior level individual contributor in order to establish the function. Opportunity to build a team exists as the functional roadmap is established by the Director.
- Drive Results : Define and deliver on KPIs for adoption of and revenue from Cloudflare’s Developer Platform, which includes R2 Cloud Object Storage, Cloudflare Workers, and other developer products. Align your results to the top-down strategic direction for this solution area and Cloudflare’s overall growth.
- Develop Marketing Strategy : Create the marketing and campaign strategy that will optimize the developer journey with Cloudflare. Responsibilities include but not limited to: defining market segmentation and account targeting; collaborating with product marketing and product management on positioning, messaging, content generation and launch of new products/functionality; establishing field marketing activities targeted at developers to support in-market objectives; creating a roadmap for digital promotion and tests that scale.
- Execute Programs : In partnership with field and channel owners, you will directly own or partner on the execution, tracking and optimization of programs. Examples include: ensuring the end to end success of sponsorships and field representation at priority conferences, hackathons, meetups etc; launching digital promotions in key developer forums; building integrated nurtures; and managing rapid experiments.
- Accountable: You drive business outcomes, not projects. You deliver on your commitments to your partners and teammates.
- Influential : You build trusted relationships with outside developer and technical communities based on a deep understanding of how they consume information and what content performs best. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence a range of internal stakeholders including executives, Product, Product Marketing, Field Marketing and Sales.
- Analytical: You are data-driven in your approach to strategy development and can seamlessly manage testing at scale. You use numbers to define priorities and problem solve.
- Curious: You are a tinkerer - always learning and experimenting - and by nature are at home with developer audiences. You are obsessed with finding new ways to communicate with and engage developers, operations, and security professionals.
- Experience building a function and leading a team in Developer Marketing, DevRel, or Advocacy programs.
- A minimum 15 years of Enterprise SaaS experience targeting technical buyers and developer influencers. Functional marketing experience can include a range of: Developer Marketing, Demand Gen, Field Marketing, Growth Marketing, etc.
- BS or advanced degree; CS or technical specialties strongly preferred. Ideal candidates will have background as a developer full time or as a personal passion in addition to functional marketing experience.
- For New York City-based and California (excluding Bay Area) and Washington hires: Estimated annual salary of $ 197,000 - $ 241,000
- For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $ 192,000 - $ 234,000
- For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $ 206,000 - $ 252,000
