Purpose and Objective:

SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Developer at our Palo Alto, CA location to be responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of specific product features in a development team.

Expectations and Tasks:

Analyze and solve issues in existing and new code. Responsible for accepted tasks and high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency. Work closely together with other team members to ensure the team success. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team. As Scrum Master in the LEAN context, responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum by helping team understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. Scrum Master is a 'servant-leader' for the Product Owner and the Development Team Facilitates Scrum Events on request or as required. Coach the Development Team in self-organization.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Work Experience:

Experience must involve 3 years in the following:

• Integration between various software systems to extract data into BW for reporting.
• Visualization skills including SAP BO, Tableau, Power BI, or D3 JS;
• Database management including HANA, ORACLE, SQL, or PostgreSQL;
• HR application including employee management, organization management, or time and payroll management; and
• Data Warehousing including SAP BW or HANA;
• Analytics skills including Data Mining, Statistical Data Modelling, and exploratory data analysis using R, or Python language;
• Programming skills including ABAP, SQL, Java, JavaScript, R, or Python;

Telecommuting permitted.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $192,941. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $192,941 - $206,000. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
