Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and self-motivated professional that can help elevate our MSP services and drive the growth and success of our team. Our office is located in Campbell and you will start your training days here. You will begin with 2 weeks training session to measure your skills. From there, we will provide you assignments and sessions to shadow our senior engineers. Once you are acclimated to our solutions and team, you will start venturing out of the nest to clients around the Bay - from San Jose to San Francisco. You will hone your skills in providing user support to an array of customers; from admin staff, top level executives, and clients with diverse IT infrastructures. We aspire for an independent professional who is responsible for establishing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and software for our clients. These tasks will require you to have constant communication with colleagues through phone, email, or face-to-face interactions. We require you to be polished on your communication and documentation skills. You will master how to set up computer networks for our clients and be responsible for monitoring and updating networks, establishing new networks, providing network security, and educating non-network employees on proper computer usage and maintenance. Our runway is short, however we are convinced that you are prepared to face new challenges.
What you will do:
- Researching hardware and software for clients
- Maintain and update documentation, i.e. procedures, diagrams, inventory, and knowledge articles
- Provide Tier 1 - 3 support to both onsite and remote users, as well as systems administration for backend infrastructure, network and cloud applications.
- Provide VoIP phone installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, adds, moves and changes
- Providing day-to-day desktop support on Mac and Windows environments, iOS and Android devices, as well as remote support
- Utilize various Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and various Mac OS Applications
- New hire deployments, laptop imaging and setup including network/email accounts and computer hardware.
- Resolve issues for clients via phone, in person, or electronically.
- Software duties include installing, upgrading, and maintaining Windows OS, Windows Server operating systems as well as Office 2016 and antivirus software
- Perform AD and Office 365 administration such as account creation, account removal, maintenance, and policies
- Assist with systems administration and projects such network/data security, backups, patching, VMware, network issues, antivirus scan schedules, etc.
- Creating PowerPoints and guidelines to showcase plans to our clients
- Traveling on-site to client's location (if needed)
Minimum Requirements:
- Confident in troubleshooting problems
- Mobile phone support
- Printing services
- Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
- Hosted services such as Gmail and Office 365
- Strong team player
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in CS or related field
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Knowledge and experience with MacBook support, Windows 7, and newer versions.
- Hosted VoIP services
- Google Certificate, Comp TIA A+, Network +, Security + are highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of prior hands on experience in a similar role
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain calm and professional in stressful circumstances
- Desktop support and customer services
Masks are required at all times. Disinfectants are given and used when needed. Remote work from our office, however may travel to client site to work on more complex issues.
