Job Description

Designer – Woman’s Outdoor apparel
Responsibilities
  • Self-starter and able to ask for help when needed but proactive in finding solves.
  • Responsible for managing and hitting all deadlines and communicating any issues
  • Responsible for sharing fit intention
  • Responsible for owning the lifecycle (design and overall aesthetic) from start up until PP stage
  • Responsible for managing the collection - including on-time delivery of all assets, hitting key deadlines
  • Along with the design VP, responsible for collaborating and executing creative vision and direction for the GH Bass Brand for all woman’s categories
  • Innate understanding of consumer behaviors in distribution channels.
  • Able to function in a fast-paced work environment that is growing and evolving rapidly.
  • Organized, amazing with time management and attention to detail
  • Able to communicate clear ideas and know who the customer is through research and shopping. Must be able to analyze market trends and apply to specific categories
Requirements
  • 5+ years working for an outdoor based woman’s brand which caters to department store customer base.
  • 5-8 yrs apparel design experience
  • Expert knowledge of apparel design and garment construction
  • Must have strong presentation skills
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with outdoor and outerwear apparel is required
  • Knowledge of PLM systems and how to use them
  • Must be able to work proficiently in Adobe creative suite
  • Expert knowledge of performance fabric and trims
  • Must have examples of work and portfolio to be considered
