Job Description

Summary

Provide administrative, organizational, and clerical support to the Owner/Senior Designer.

Research, gather, and organize project materials and items.

Perform small tasks and jobs for the owner/senior designer.

Act as a courier for sample pick up and return.

Gather pricing for project budgeting.

Organize resource library; file and update weekly.

The hours are generally Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 2 depending on the work load.

Other duties will be required as special projects come our way.

You will need a valid driver’s license and car.


Responsibilities

Product searches, sampling and budgeting

  • Gather materials snapshots for renderings and client proposals
  • "File” samples—tile flooring fabric, paint
  • Load up car and unload after meetings
  • "File” client samples as they arrive
  • Small errands will be required to free up Kathy’s time
  • Pick up and drop off samples to vendors, clients
  • Warehouse pick up; move inventory place to place (smaller items)
  • Sort and return fabric memos
  • Drop off/set up merchandise (smaller items) for clients
  • Work with vendors and sales reps, keep library updated and for specific projects
  • Follow up on samples that have been requested
  • Update catalogs, price lists, binders
  • Order samples, get pricing, quantity, unit of measure and price
