Position: Design Drafter III, Req#: 797-1

Location: Fort Worth, TX (100% onsite)

Duration: 24+ Months Contract

Drafter responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements, and setting up production methods. Responsible for drafting duties on multiple projects and will be capable of all phases of a drafting project including research, support, implementing designs as directed by engineers, redline updates, and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools (PTC Creo, Windchill)
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Technical Degree or certification from American Design Drafting Association (ADDA)
• Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.
• Create manuals that describe existing products’ operation, features, and maintenance.
• Liaise with engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
• Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality.
• Describe production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used)
• Design diagrams, maps, and layouts to illustrate the workflow.
• Calculate dimensions, weight limitations, and requirements in materials.
• Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team.
