Parsons is hiring a contingent hire Deputy Program Manager (DPM) for a U.S. Government contract. The DPM will provide overall leadership and guidance for a large, complex international program in a challenging and dynamic environment. Parsons experience in this field, combined with your experience coordinating projects through all phases of project inception, setup, execution, monitoring, and closeout will propel your career and leadership opportunities forward. We need our DPM to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, collaborative environments that have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Responsible for oversight of Program Management for a large, complex international program.
  • Oversee execution of Project Management Plans, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
  • Participate in task order proposal development; and coordinate with in-country stakeholders and subcontractors as needed.
  • Provide requisite training for project managers and other program staff as needed.
  • Plan for, document, and execute processes for technical program management; requirements management; risk management, performance management, metrics reporting, communications planning and management, and subcontractor management.
  • Manage staffing levels to ensure contractual and technical requirements are met.
  • Work with project managers to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advise the client and company management of any such changes.
  • Review monthly reporting such as schedules, variance reports, and subcontractor issued reports and invoices.
  • Manage project managers to ensure they are collaborating with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for projects.
  • Work with the key program and project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
  • Provide cost and schedule oversight for projects and project managers
  • Work directly with project teams and others as needed for any issues and concerns, changes, program guidance, and general project management.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must have the ability to manage projects and resources, interfacing with clients and enjoying being hands on.
  • 10+ years of experience managing project with NNSA or DTRA.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical/business field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards
  • Selected candidate should have a broad general technical and business background.
  • 15+ years of experience supporting Department of Energy programs in leadership capacity.
  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications

Salary Range:

$136,200.00 - $245,200.00
