Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Departmental Secretary - Cardiac EP Lab - Russian speaking req.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for providing administrative support in Cardiac Cath EP Lab, including managing EP adult and Pediatric Cath and EP patient schedule, coordinating with hospital and professional billing staff, managing relationships with offices of referring physicians, calling patients with scheduled procedure times, greeting patients, obtaining translation services for families of patients and assisting Intake Coordinator and Administrative Director with Departmental projects

Job Responsibilities:

  • Takes and transcribes moderately complex dictation using short/longhand, transcription equipment and/or departmental systems; prepares and edits general correspondence.
  • Responsible for all front end workflows (case scheduling, preprocedure confirmation, set up transportation/translator, prepare charts and obtain non EPIC clinical documentation; manage clinical peer to peer logistics, insure PB/HB auth cleared); integrate front end ADT feed from EPIC to XPER procedural middlewear system.
  • Serves as receptionist by answering phones, scheduling patients and preparing daily schedules.
  • Collects and organizes all appropriate insurance and financial documentation for patients prior to cardiac cath/EP procedures, coordinates with billing staff.
  • Performs variety of duties in support of office operations, including but not limited to, secretarial duties that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment.
  • Russian Speaking
  • Communicate with Patient Family members, including and not limited to pre-procedure instructions and Family Notification
  • Coordinates relationships with offices of referring physicians, including assessment of completeness of pre-procedure patient documentation for cardiac cath and electrophysiology procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assists in training of new staff for the department. Explains procedures clearly and precisely. Orients new employees on departmental and pertinent Medical Center policies and procedures. Trains new personnel in efficient operation of departmental systems. Suggests new or modifications to existing office systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Graduate of a business/secretarial school of equivalent combination of academic and experience background. Minimum of four years of responsible secretarial experience required. Typing (60 WPM) and Proficient in Microsoft Application Skills required. Knowledge of medical terminology.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,008.19 - $58,008.19 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
