Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Dentist - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Works to foster and maintain a collaborative, engaging, and positive work environment for all students and staff.
  • Participates in assessment, accreditation, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in QMI activities including peer review, cost of care for students, etc.
  • Oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the dental clinic. The Dentist provides the following dental services to the diverse FAU student population: Consultations/oral exams; Sedative fillings; Resin fillings; Sealant placement; Night guards; Teeth whitening; Crown re-cementation; Desensitization applications; Emergency dental treatments; Creates and maintains accurate dental health records.
  • Makes recommendations to the Director on budget and other fiscal issues.
  • Participates in other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Must comply with a federal, state, and university regulations and statutes, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Supervises dental staff and performs performance evaluations for dental assistants and dental hygienist as required.
  • Participates in activities, both internal and external to SHS, in order to champion the health of the college student population, advance the mission of SHS, and support the missions of the Division of Student Affairs and Florida Atlantic University.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Doctor of Dental Medicine or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from an accredited institution of dentistry required.
Must be a licensed dentist by the State of Florida Board of Dentistry
Salary:
$121,000 per year.
