Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and one or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or work experience.

Position Description:

This position works in Central Supply, supervising the receiving, processing and delivering of supplies throughout the preclinical/clinical areas of dental school and the university owned offsite locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conducts training.
  • Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
  • Cross train to provide coverage as needed in other areas of the Department.
  • Purchase supplies and instruments for the Dental School Clinics, Simulation Labs and didactic classes following University purchasing guidelines with department managers approval.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations.
  • Research product and prices, making recommendations for purchase and maintain electronic inventories for all dental supplies and distributed within the Dental School.
  • Plans, monitors, and appraises job results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Accomplishes staff job results by coaching and counseling.
  • Log electronic purchase requisitions and monitor purchase of supplies.
  • Maintain Pro Card documentation: maintain usage log, calculate monthly journal voucher charges for each clinic area, reallocate charges as necessary, and reconcile statements.
  • Controls expenses by gathering and submitting budget information, scheduling expenditures, monitoring variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain HIPPA, OSHA and Infection Control compliance at all times.
  • Manages dental clinic supply operations for the Dental School, ensuring that sufficient inventory of supplies and equipment is available for use in the clinics.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Completes operations by developing schedules, assigning, and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, maintaining reference manuals, and implementing new procedures.
  • Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training in the dental field, ie; assisting, lab technician or instrument identification.�
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Professional products.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (i.e., computer, copier, fax and scanner).
  • Able to maintain CPR certification.
Target Compensation Maximum:

$21.26

Target Compensation Minimum:

$12.54

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
