Job Summary
This position will support the Service and Distribution department with demolitions and tap shutoff work, site inspections, and communications; as well as back office support activities related to theft of service, service line leak follow-up, new services large new meter set inspections, periodic meter changes, projects, non-compliance work and other related activities. This position requires a strong understanding of SAP, proficiency in excel (macros and pivot tables) and the Microsoft office suite as well as excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail is required as well as excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Manage file photos related to the above
  • Creating and presenting Power Point information sessions for Demolition programs
  • All other administrative duties
  • Theft of Service coordination; Task edit report, customer contact, send letter, disconnection/meter installation
  • Work with multiple departments for program improvements/enhancements.
  • Record and compile demolition and theft of service data in Excel that can be sorted using pivot tables and ability to translate that information into graphs and tables to summarize results.
  • Service Line Leak follow up: Task edit report, customer contact, send letter, coordination with Customer Advocate, verify repair/disconnection
  • Communicating with customers and contractors on Demolition and Tap Shut off requirements
  • Tracking and following up on inquiries.
  • Work with service technicians to respond to field observations related to Demolitions, Tap Shut Offs, Theft of Service, and Service Line Leaks
  • Scheduling planned work for TSO and to verify compliance.
  • Responding to customers/contractors on demolition inquiries.
  • Support Service and Distribution departments with administrative duties in support of both departments’ business processes, including monitoring of Teams, back office service reviews, scheduling of field technicians and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work with multiple enterprise systems such as SAP, CRM, and GIS is required.
  • Understanding of utility rules and regulations applicable to the Service and distribution related activities.
  • Manage multiple MS inbox and folders.
  • Creating mail merge letters
  • Creating demolition/disconnection letters.
  • Completing Demolition, Theft of Service, Service Line Leak Notifications in SAP.
  • Non-compliance tasks related to Demolitions, Theft of Service, and Periodic Meter Changes
  • Onsite inspections to ensure compliance of regulated procedures
Demand Management Tasks up to 30% of time during peak period
  • Participant and administration for the Conservation Committee
  • Coordinates hiring, training, and supervision of multiple summer interns to assist with the demand management program.
  • Reports to Director of Sustainability & Environmental Management
  • Works to improve demand management new and existing process.
  • Coordinates with IT to ensure the automation of the violation process.
  • Reports to Environmental Management Office up to twice a week.
Creating mail merge letters according to violation.
  • Correcting violation submissions in SAP.
Provides consumption data and works with the Aquarion Water Irrigation Assessor to monitor and track variances.
  • Maintain up-to-date data regarding variances and violations.
Preferred Requirements
KNOW HOW:
Excellent communications (both written and oral), customer-service, troubleshooting, creative problem-solving skills, analytical, and organizational skills are required. Must also be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and meet commitments. Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives is required as well as the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in performing duties. Must be able to work effectively with others in order to support inter- departmental processes.
Problem Solving
Independent decision making is required; special situations referred to supervisor; various situations may require follow up with other company departments, including service, customer service and
accounting. Some situations may require contacting the customer, or referring system errors for
further research. Each situation must be reviewed and may range in scope from a few dollars to a few thousand dollars. This task is conducted with little supervisory intervention.
Education/Certifications
An Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Information Technology is preferred
Salary
Job is classified as an exempt position with a weekly salary range of $920.90 to $1,123.
This role is not eligible for the hybrid schedule.
