Day Shift Driver Helper

A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants and other experts builds close relationships with each customer, providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection and operational strategies. Position Summary:
Our Driver Helpers ride with and assist the Delivery Driver on our local routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods) for restaurants, delicatessens, hospitals, schools, nursing homes, convenience stores, supermarkets and other foodservice outlets in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT)regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:

• Requires accurate identification of product to ensure the correct product, in satisfactory condition, is located on the trailer/truck and unloaded at customer locations.
• Completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Responds timely to management and others in regards to delivery information.
• Assists the driver in the safe and accurate delivery of the product to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must be able to work overtime when needed
Must be able to lift, carry up to 50lbs.
Must be able to work the scheduled hours
Must be willing to enroll and be successful in completing a Driving School Program AND obtain a CDL Class A Driver's License within the first year of employment.
