Overview:

US Tool Group is currently seeking a Database Administrator for its rapidly expanding business. This position is a full-time permanent role with full benefits. Our corporate headquarters is located in Farmington, Missouri, but this position will be eligible for hybrid remote work flexibility.
As a Database Administrator at US Tool, you will get to work on and manage exciting projects while providing daily technical leadership that ensures the business is running at its best. You will get to work with and be part of a Systems Engineering team that functions as a core component of the company in owning technical infrastructure, managing multiple systems and platforms, and solving complex problems. We are primarily a SQL environment with many databases spread across multiple servers in multiple remote locations. These deployments range from simple low transaction models to complex high transaction models with high availability and replication requirements. If you have:

• Windows Server 2012r2 – 2022 configuration and management
• Ability to perform and keep track of multiple tasks and projects
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Good organizational skills and follow through
• Performance tuning and monitoring of database performance in a wide variety of use cases and scenarios (experience using DMVs preferred)
• Implementation and configuration of SQL in a cloud or hybrid cloud environment (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and user-facing reference material
• Use of SSMS and/or similar tools for advanced configuration and management
• Use of stored procedures, scheduled tasks, and/or custom code for the automation of tasks, processes, or systems
• Implementation and administration of granular permissions and user-access controls
• SQL installation, configuration, and administration
• Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
• Advanced security configurations and audit controls (preferred experience in highly-regulated environments)
• Experience with server operating systems and virtualized infrastructure
• Self-motivation, initiative, and the drive to succeed
• Ability to see the need for and create effective standard operating procedures
• Complex and comprehensive design for disaster recovery and continuity planning (including high-availability architecture and SQL replication strategies)
• Able to work independently while meeting established timelines
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred) and 4-6 years professional experience
• Use of SSRS for the creation and administration of advanced reporting
• A desire to be a positive team player with the ability to drive changes in business processes
• A strong background in the following:
  • Windows Server 2012r2 – 2022 configuration and management
  • SQL installation, configuration, and administration
  • Use of SSMS and/or similar tools for advanced configuration and management
  • Use of SSRS for the creation and administration of advanced reporting
  • Use of stored procedures, scheduled tasks, and/or custom code for the automation of tasks, processes, or systems
