As the Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for:


  • Communicating with app teams to navigate and resolve issues related to databases
  • Working closely with app teams to get them up to recent levels and provide engineering support in hybrid environments
  • Consulting with teams on database deployments and upgrades
  • Providing L3 database support for the Cloud Engineering team
  • Working closely with the engineering team to ensure the smooth operation of database services


What You’ll Need to be Successful:


  • Experience providing L3 database support
  • Experience working with app teams to manage the lifecycle of databases
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Experience with hybrid engineering support
  • At least 3 years of experience in database administration


Great Additional Skills:


  • Experience with AWS database services such as DynamoDB or Aurora
  • Experience in managing databases on RDS in a cloud environment
  • Experience with database backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security
  • Knowledge of other database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server
