We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Database Administrator to join the team and help grow our solution. This is an exciting time to join the fast-paced organization that is reinventing printing for the consumer.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical implementation of databases, storage structures, high-availability solutions such as multi-AZ, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Maintain development and production environments.
  • Ensure Database standards (security, reliability, availability, and scalability) and procedures are met by our development teams.
  • Provide technical expertise and hands-on support in consolidation and migration of databases in support of software architectural changes
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable Cloud-based database solutions.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems.
  • Identify opportunities for Database infrastructure optimization and cost reduction.
  • Root cause analysis of production-related database issues.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting software engineering teams through the software development lifecycle
  • Experience supporting 1 of these database platforms: SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Proven experience performing Database administration or database engineering duties for database internals
  • Experience with cloud database technologies (i.e.. AWS RDS, Oracle, MS SQL, Azure)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience deploying, operating, and monitoring infrastructure in the AWS cloud
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • AWS Database Specialty certifications preferred
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud products (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, Aurora, Dynamo DB, EMR, DMS data migration, Athena, Glue, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with operating high-uptime Databases in AWS
  • Expertise in relational databases is required. Non-relational databases is a plus.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or computer science, or equivalent work experience. Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience.

Per the state of Washington statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in Vancouver, WA at the time of this posting, is $101,500 - $156,350. This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.
