Position Description
A Data Specialist within the Platform Data Operations department is responsible for the day to day monitoring, support and issue resolution of customer transaction data feeds needed to maintain database processes that enable high quality experiences for staff, donors, and customers. The quality and speed of platform data processes drive customer experience and financial business management outcomes.
This position requires a high level of attention to detail, problem solving, and decision making with a willingness to learn and evaluate system behavior and process changes that impact ACS businesses.
The Data Specialist is responsible for the monitoring and processing of donation and customer transactions as they pass through multiple external and internal platforms. Through regular tracking of data base feeds and associated applications, the Specialist ensures the accurate processing of erred data for all data feeds and mail types to all endpoint systems while meeting our established quality and delivery standard for all areas assigned to include but not limited to the items listed below in responsibilities section.
- Perform corrections and updates to transactions in enterprise systems as needed.
- Perform high level auditing tasks to ensure data received from vendor is accurate.
- Some contact with business owners from across the org to discuss data needs, operational requirements, and case resolution.
- Will support ongoing data work associated with using Salesforce, MDM and other enterprise platforms as needed. This work enforces data integrity, accuracy and hygiene through data validation, case management and monitoring.
- Utilize vendor tools to evaluate, analyze, and respond to questions regarding processing of donations and required coding.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of applications relating to donations and document processing.
- Supports End-to-End testing and validation of transactions and customer data updates to ensure correct data flow and proper coding across various systems. Can participate in ongoing IE1/UAT/Prod/PSRQA SF environment testing and Data Validation related to new releases as needed.
- Communication Profile case resolution and accuracy, including direct contact with case requestors as assigned.
- Resolve manual contact and account merge cases as assigned.
- Proactively research and report back to Senior Data Specialist and work to resolve any data anomalies/trends occurring within platforms
- Evaluate complex and standard erred data in the exception queue to determine accurate processing method, correct data as appropriate and submit to endpoint systems.
- Assist with status reporting as needed.
- Effectively work with Senior Data Specialist and other departments as needed to establish issue resolution.
- Assist in other projects as assigned.
- Assist in research projects and/or business and donor inquiries as assigned.
- Extract correspondence data from OnBase image storage, review data need, and complete data entry as needed.
- Maintain adequate knowledge of functional business purposes the department supports with its products and services.
- Maintain strong business process knowledge of all products and services provided by the department.
- Perform data correction tasks for entries that failed automated business rules.
Position Requirements
FORMAL KNOWLEDGE
The candidate should have a minimum of 18 credit hours from an accredited two or four-year college, university, or industry-recognized technical school, preferably with an emphasis on either general business and/or information technology, production environment disciplines, finance, or accounting. As an educational equivalent, the candidate should have a minimum of three years equivalent work experience, preferably in the areas of data capture and computer operation, remittance and/or lockbox processing, or other financial transactional processing. Must be in current position for at least six months.

SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR KNOWLEDGE
- The candidate should possess specialized training or knowledge of Constituent Relationship Management software
- Knowledge of customer data configuration and impact it has on business process flow through systems and efficiency
- Working knowledge of customer data Software applications (proprietary – SDB,UVI) and SF, NetSuite, MDM, IDQ
- Understanding of ACS data structure, ACS data use, ACS business processes and ACS users
The starting rate is $18.05 to $22.56 per hour. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
