Data Specialist Jobs

The Enterprise Data Specialist is responsible for: contributing to project plans for enhancing data collection, processing, scheduling, onboarding and managing relationships with school IT departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation on customer data integrations
• Actively communicate with school IT departments regarding data formats, data issues, data deadlines, etc.
• Be the data lead on sales calls with prospective school and district partners
• Work closely with our Academics & Compliance and Customer Success team to execute Honest Game’s essential data collection and data processing function
• Provide school data integration support by writing,customizing, and testing ETL tools for specific schools
• Support the team lead on all things technical when it comes to student data needs and support
• Review and clean data sets submitted by school IT departments for quality

Qualifications

• Maintain a focus on continuous improvement, ensuring a world-class customer success experience
• School student information system (SIS) experience with one or more of the following: PowerSchool, Skyward, Infinite Campus, Synergy, Aspen, etc.
• Ability to work with various users (including end-users) to diagnose issues and problem-solve
• Expertise with tools like Excel, PowerQuery, VBA, Sheets, BigQuery, and AppScript
• Expertise withrelational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server)
• Expertise with web frameworks & scripting languages PHP (Laravel), React, Sass, JavaScript
• Experience working with integration and business intelligence applications such as Cognos, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Hyperion, Tableau, or Power BI

Desired Qualifications

• Hands-on cloud experience with various AWS, Azure, and/or GCP services
• 5+ years of experience working directly with or in high schools’ Information Systems and integrations with vendors
• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or another relevant field
• 5+ years of professional data analysis or data integration experience
