Job Description
Fully Remote
6-Month Contract, possible extensions
$65-$75/hr
Are you well versed within Python, Spark, and end-to-end deployment and are looking for your next opportunity within the Data Science space? Your experience will allow you to hit the ground running in this contract position!

THE ROLE
  • Own end-to-end implementation of projects in collaboration with other team members
  • Develop machine learning and forecast models to enhance user experience
  • Mentor junior team members through coaching and code review
  • Communicate with end-users and respond to stakeholder needs
  • Reframe business challenges as analytical and machine learning tasks alongside stakeholders and teammates
  • Contribute to the newly developed internal machine learning platform
Your Skills And Experience
A successful Data Scientist within this role will likely have the following skills and experience:
  • Familiarity working in a big data environment in a commercial setting.
  • Ability to develop and deploy machine learning models at scale
  • Python, Spark, and end-to-end deployment experience
  • Commercial experience in a quantitative or research role at a company of a relevant industry.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral, written, and visual. Able to communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • M.S. required, Ph.D preferred in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, operations research or related field
