Who were looking for:
TRD is looking for a talented Data Scientist with a strong statistical skillset to join our team and help us create impactful insights that lead to success on the racetrack.
This position will be based out of Costa Mesa, CA and open to remote or hybrid work options.
What you’ll be doing:
· Design, implement, and evaluate advanced statistical models and approaches for application in our complex racing environment.
· Leverage AWS and Redshift for efficient data storage and retrieval to inform decision-making.
· Productionize predictive models and ensure their performance, reliability, and explain ability.
· Maintain high data quality standards and conduct thorough investigations into any data quality issues.
· Develop and maintain dashboards for data visualization using tools like Grafana.
· Explore and analyze data to draw insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
· Ensure accurate and effective delivery of analytics insights and recommendations to the team and stakeholders.
What you’ll bring:
· Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
· Demonstrated high degree of statistical analysis skillset.
· Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis and model development.
· Solid understanding and experience working with AWS, particularly Redshift, EC2 & S3.
· Proven experience in maintaining and investigating data quality issues.
· Experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools, particularly Grafana.
· Proven track record of designing and implementing machine learning models in a production environment.
· Exceptional skills in exploratory data analysis and predictive modeling.
· Ability to communicate complex results clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
· Self-starter with a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
·
Added bonus if you have:
- A Master’s degree or PhD will be considered a plus.
- Passion for creative solutions for turning complex data into impactful insights and have a desire to make a substantial impact.
- Experience within a Motorsports or racing environment.
