Overview


The Data Scientist will work with Engineering, Technology and Process Development teams to solve applications and process development problems using data science. This person will be a key member of the product development team working on technology and capability advancements for semiconductor manufacturing capital equipment.


Responsibilities


  • Leverage existing data and identify new/needed data streams to develop impactful data science solutions to the most critical challenges in product development and technology advancement.
  • Collaborate with the process and technology teams to understand complex process development challenges on products involving multiple different technologies, including laser annealing, ion beam etch and deposition, MOCVD and others, and translate those challenges into data science problems
  • Use existing processes and methodologies to mine, aggregate, cleanse and analyze data from multiple diverse sources, resulting in actionable insights to solve the most critical product and technology improvement challenges
  • Implement robust algorithms, collaborating with modeling and software team members
  • Apply Machine Learning, advanced analytical and statistical analysis to solutions to advance technology and capability development for new and existing products
  • Drive results to meet internal and external customer requirements
  • Work with engineering and technology leaders on implementation of new sensors and/or data collection methodologies to enable advanced data analytics for process development

Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in data science, machine learning and/or algorithm development or a Masters in a relevant field, including electrical, chemical, materials or software engineering, or in physics, chemistry, applied mathematics or statistics is required.


Knowledge, Skills And Abilities


  • Solid mathematics and statistical data analysis capability
  • Experience writing technical specifications and validating that the solution meets those specifications
  • Able to travel domestically 10%
  • Ability to translate complex engineering and technology problems into actionable problem statements
  • Experience in coding using tools such as Python, R, C/C++, JAVA or similar


The expected salary range for this position is $78,780 - $111,188 + bonus + benefits. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
