W2 Contract (with the possibility of full-time hire)

Mindseeker Professional Services is looking for a Data Quality Analyst to support one of the top financial institutions in the country.

Description:

The Data Quality Analyst will work on the Mission Data project scope. The analyst will be creating data quality rules across 60+ sources. The analyst will be working by source to ensure all critical data elements and columns used by downstream sources have data quality rules defined.

Responsibilities:

• Perform data quality audits, identify data collection issues, suggest improvements, and help implement fixes.

• Support the documentation and implementation of data quality policies, standards, and procedures for both legacy and new data environments.

• Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies

• Own design, develop and deliver data quality and data profile best practices

Requirements:

• 2+ years data quality experience

• 2+ years of SQL, and data modeling

• 4+ years of related experience in data governance/data management/quality assurance

• Strong analytical and technical skills to troubleshoot issues, analyze the cause, quickly come-up with the possible solution(s), document the changes, and communicate to the change to the organization

• Experience in defining and implementing data governance best practices, documenting data flow & process mapping, or a data steward responsible for the metadata management, data quality, KPIs, etc.

• Strong experience in documenting data requirements, data strategy and data rules (standardization, cleanse, and validation)
