Role Description:


In the role of Data Quality Analyst (internally known as, Data Quality Analyst II) you will be part of Data Quality Team. You will work closely with Data Governance Manager. Your contributions of providing high quality data for the company will be felt throughout Safety National.


Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Data Quality Analyst will include:


  • Ensure integrity of data in database and warehouse for reporting and analytical purposes.
  • Analyze and validate data completeness, consistency, accuracy, and compliance to data standards and principles.
  • Accountable for delivering accurate data to downstream data consumers.
  • Work collaboratively with TPA’s, business users, and vendors to improve service levels on existing and new data feeds.
  • Maintain and improve processes in Data360 Govern software and assist in Governance initiatives.
  • Investigate and identify data quality issues. Addresses the root cause of data problems and develop a recommendation on how to resolve issues. Partner with data source stakeholders to implement resolution.


Some of the essentials skills required of you in this role are,


  • Perform data quality audits around inconsistent, incorrect and incomplete data on a monthly basis.
  • Implement data quality monitoring reports, alerts, and processes.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of current data requirements and processes and develop strategies for improving these processes.
  • Benchmark and improve data quality from all data sources.

Qualifications:


Education:


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems required.


Required Qualifications:


  • Ability to query relational databases using standard SQL, and to extract, analyze, and reconcile large sums of data.
  • Experience in data warehouse environments a plus.
  • At least 4 years of experience working with data in either I.S. or finance department.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Self-starter who can work with minimal direct supervision, and take ownership of projects.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on approach to data quality while supporting data quality initiatives.
  • Background in finance or accounting a plus.
