Spirit of America seeks a Data Processing Assistant to support a dynamic and growing finance team. The Data Processing Assistant will report to Spirit of America's Database and Research Manager.

A Data Processing Assistant is committed to supporting a team that is innovative, collaborative, and driven to meet the expanding needs of the organization in meeting its mission. This is an exciting time to join a rapidly growing team.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Make suggestions for system enhancements and assist with system upgrades.
  • Organizing data in spreadsheets.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining departmental electronic files.
  • Identifying dummy/test accounts.
  • Clean up data in Excel using formulas.
  • Data entry in Salesforce, Intacct, and other financial systems.
  • Naming and filing electronic documents following the defined naming conventions
  • Conduct mass uploads to Salesforce via 2 different methods (data loader and data import wizard).
  • Assist with other projects and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Reviewing reports for accuracy.
  • Catalog existing fields and record type layouts.
  • Create and run reports in Salesforce, identifyingareas in need of cleaning.
  • Write the help text anddescriptionfor existing Salesforce Fields.


Requirements


  • Advanced proficiencyin Excel.
  • Understanding of Sage Intacct and Nexonia is a merit.
  • A passion for advancing Spirit of America’s mission and sharing the organization’s unique model of private support to US missions abroad.
  • Familiarity with expense reports and invoices is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases, Salesforce preferred, but Blackbaud, Hubspot, Zoho, etc. is also useful.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • A proven interest in data.
