The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for managing housing referral, census and service data, entering data into government databases, and producing related reports to support departmental performance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: List all essential job duties. - Enter housing admission, discharge, and service-related data in government databases
- Manage government required monthly reporting for supportive housing rehabilitative and tenancy support services provided for 1,000+ tenants
- Collaborate with ICL Hope team members and programs to obtain timely data and ensure accuracy
- Monitor data quality of vacancy update data submitted by programs, and enter real time updates in government database
- Conduct quality assurance checks of data reported in internal systems and government databases to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies as needed
- Assist with referral data entry in referral management system and EHR
- May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to the job responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient in Excel
- Knowledge of agency policies and program policies, procedures and functions.
- Team player able to work effectively with multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to provide administrative support to Program staff
- Ability to prioritize and follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sensitivity to issues involved in working in a diverse organization is essential
- Ability to work independently and also collaboratively with other team members.
- Ability to interact appropriately and respectfully with clients, staff and community members
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree and one year of database experience; Bachelors preferred. Must have experience using multiple databases and/or electronic health records. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
