Data Entry Specialist Jobs

We are looking for a Part Time Data Entry Specialist to join our finance team. This candidate will be responsible for data entry of vendor bills, customer invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. The ideal candidate should have experience with accounting software and other programs, as well as strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with financial policies and procedures that affect accounts payable.
• Review, correct, delete, or re-enter account data as necessary.
• Provide occasional administrative support.
• Process, verify, and record invoices, payments, and purchase orders related to the accounts payable function.
• Reconcile accounts and vendor statements and resolve any outstanding balances.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Get data from both primary and secondary sources, and maintain data systems
• Enter new and updated account information into the database.
• Key data from source documents into the system.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are current.
• Ensure all entered data are accurate and complete.

Qualifications:

• Desire to take advantage of training and learning opportunities.
• Independent, self-starting attitude.
• 2-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
