Job Description

Hayes Tax & Accounting Services, Inc. is seeking an individual with strong problem-solving skills, dependability, and demonstrated priority and time management skills to join our team!! The ideal candidate strongly believes that our clients always come first. This individual will need to be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to another senior team member. Understanding data confidentiality principles is a must!


Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Transfer data from scanned documents into our electronic system
  • Sort and organize documents after entering data to ensure it is not lost
  • Update existing data
  • Type in data provided directly by clients
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Create spreadsheets accurately



Qualifications

  • Great attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk
  • Fast typing skills
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of databases
