Position Summary

Organization: Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico

Location: Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111

An Off-Campus Work-Study Position

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Senior Accountant or designee, Clerk will input data into the MIP software. Data entry includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Journal Entries. Clerk will be trained in these tasks after an MIP account is set up. Clerk will assist in filing and scanning as needed. Remote work hours may be available, per Supervisor, but not guaranteed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enter and manage vendor information
Enter and process accounts payable invoices
Enter journal entries and cash receipts
Finance filing – scanning and paper filing of vendor files, accounts payable, cash receipts, journal entries
Support with reporting, as needed
Pull and copy invoices, as needed
Assist Finance Department with other administrative duties
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties, as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most essential duties are performed in an office environment with exposure to a variety of business equipment and other pertinent materials normally found in this type of work setting; need to have effective manual dexterity to operate various business equipment
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time
Work is normally performed in an area permitting partial-to-total privacy

Preferred Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Able to communicate with diverse groups of people to include staff and providers
Able to work on a variety of assignments concurrently within established deadlines
Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and accounting software
Able to maintain the confidentiality of records, memoranda, verbal communications, analytical data and information
Ability to cooperate fully with laws, regulations, and all SHCNM compliance expectations

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in accounting is a plus
Experience working with customers, vendors, and/or community partners is a plus
Experience with cash-handling, inventory, invoicing, and/or purchase orders is a plus
Experience with data entry and data management is a plus
Those with lived experience with housing needs, behavioral/ mental health, and/or disabling conditions are encouraged to apply
