Team Introduction
The US IT Team provides local IT support and services for TikTok users based in our office locations and remotely throughout the region. In-office support includes resolving hardware/software related issues, support for conference/meeting rooms, and fulfills any other IT support-related needs of TikTok users.
This role will be responsible for providing Field level technical expertise and program management for the maintenance and operation of the electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, security, and communications infrastructure as well as any applicable base building support systems in our San Jose Campus and other locations throughout the AMS region.
  • Promptly schedule equipment installations and cabling requests, and engage partners. plan parallel work streams when possible.
  • High-energy individual with interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate peers, and drive projects to completion
  • Expert knowledge of industrial safety best practices (i.e. lockout/tag out, arc flash protection, OSHA and state regulations)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effectively handle incident management for outages.
  • Establish and maintain metrics, key performance indicators, and service level agreements to continually improve DC performance.
  • Expert knowledge of fiber optics / cabling infrastructure and industry best practices.
  • Dive into design, review, and integration of all application requirements like functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations.
  • Be “2nd level” tier of escalation for support issues for AMS and Global sites. Be able to respond to issues, emergencies, and other matters when contacted via the OnCall Support Team and/or Data Center team. Although “On-Call” would not require dispatching to a site, must be available by phone after hours in these situations
  • Expert understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including, but not limited to the following: electrical distribution and layout, Transformers, PLC’s, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, STS’, ATS’ PDU’s, Chilled Water Systems, CRAC/CRAH’s, Pre-Action Sprinkler Systems
  • Attend meetings to capture business requirements for DC Capacity planning and workflow management.
  • Expert knowledge in physical security and security systems.
  • Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems, options, and recommendations for prompt resolution.
  • Proven knowledge of tenant contracts.
  • Provide leadership for the delivery of 24/7 service operations and KPI compliance and audit.
  • Expert vendor management skills including service contract management.
  • Experienced project management skills, including budgeting, time tracking, schedule creation, scope development, contract management
  • Research industry standards, best practices, and new innovations in technology and makes recommendations.
  • Manage remote sites as well as schedule/monitor work performed by third-party vendors.
  • Business Continuity Plan Management, assuring our BCP documentation is current and approved by management
Qualifications
Required skills:
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
  • Good understanding of workplace technology such as AV, infrastructure and security
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical procedure and policy writing.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the operation, design, troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical infrastructure facilities with Data Centers being preferred.
  • 3–5 years of project management experience.
  • 5+ years' experience with various Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, Palo Alto and Cisco network operating systems
  • Strong experience operating and troubleshooting complex networks with segmentation and virtualization.
  • Experience of working within a technically complex, multi-country environment
  • 3-5 years of experience in the commissioning of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or the equivalent time in roles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent risk and change management skills
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality

  • Demonstrated ability to independently move projects forward by gaining the support needed from others while working in a cross-functional role leveraging matrixed teams
  • Quick learner and good at communication, patient and diligent, team player
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience with virtual machine networking with VMWare, ESXi and, vCenter, and VM networking as well as experience with Cisco AC
  • UCS server management
  • Proven track record of collaborating with diverse business groups (e.g., finance, operations, security...etc) to set objectives and produce meaningful results
  • Adapt to the fast change of working atmosphere, able to work under pressure managing multiple deadlines

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $105600 - $169777 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
