We are working with our client, STARC Systems, in seeking a Data Applications Administrator to join their team working in the Brunswick, Maine office.



Relying on an almost exclusively cloud-based IT infrastructure, from user management to critical business applications that span the entire organization, the Data Applications Administrator will support business processes across the organization through development, implementation, and support of existing and new workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience in reporting, analytics, and data interoperability of cloud-based applications.



This is a unique opportunity to become part of a rapidly growing, nationally recognized provider of products and services to the construction and critical containment sectors. Significant potential for advancement exists as the company continues its rapid growth. This position is the first internal IT role within the company.



Requirements of the Data Applications Administrator:

  • Possess a strong working knowledge of current and pending IT technologies that will best support the needs of our growing business.
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to handle difficult or unexpected situations in the workplace, as well as complex challenges.
  • Ability to lead a project team using good communication, interpersonal skills, motivation skills and organization. Experience with project management or project coordination is a plus.
  • Experience with data reporting tools like Salesforce or Acumatica helpful
  • Ability to communicate technical problems and solutions to non-technical users and stakeholders.
  • 2+ years of experience with navigating cloud-based applications (analytics and data management)

Responsibilities of the Data Applications Administrator:

  • Development of analytics and reporting tools across applications as required to support business intelligence and operational needs, including products such as live documentation that integrates multiple data sources.
  • Application integration and development of middleware cloud software
  • Platform integration, using Workauto to develop new workflows between all applications but focusing on Salesforce and Acumatica. Additional workflows may involve Sharepoint, Paylocity, 3dXperience, and others.



  • Provide input to the strategic needs of the company from a technological perspective in collaboration with the IT Steering Committee.
  • IT Infrastructure management
  • Assume ownership of our relationship with our outsourced managed IT services provider to ensure STARC Systems fully utilizes the service for strategic planning and day to day support (helpdesk) needs.
  • Develop and implement best practices for virtual filing.
  • Lead companywide software upgrades, integrations, and implementations.



  • Development and management of training syllabi for key productivity applications and integrations (365 apps, SharePoint, Salesforce, Acumatica, 3DX, HubSpot, etc.) for employees
  • End User Application Training and Development
  • Provide introductory, supplemental, and advanced offerings based on user’s gaps and capabilities towards the enhancement and growth of skills that will benefit their daily job productivity. These may be via one-on-one sessions, scheduled events and published docs/videos.



  • Managing hardware resources
  • Onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Account and security management
  • Assist Third Party IT Support
