IRC BACKGROUND:
Founded in 1933, the IRC is a leading nonsectarian, voluntary organization providing relief, protection and resettlement services for refugees and victims of oppression or violent conflict. One aspect of the IRC is to assist refugees with resettlement and integration in the United States. The IRC opened a Denver office in 2016 to provide reception and placement services to newly arrived refugees. The office is slated to resettle approximately 425 refugees per year and provides wraparound program services that assist refugees, asylees, Cuban and Haitian entrants, victims of trafficking, survivors of torture, asylum seekers, and other immigrant populations. Most services are available for at least five years following arrival in the U.S. The IRC in Denver’s service approach is client-centered, empowerment-focused, trauma-informed, and multigenerational.
Job Overview
Under the direction of the Deputy Director the Data and Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring data integrity through development and implementation of data collection, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms for the IRC in Denver. A key member of the team for the Reach Program carried out in partnership with the Colorado Refugee Services Program (CRSP), the Data and Quality Assurance Coordinator serves as the lead for the IRC in Denver related to the Geneva database (a Salesforce-based system). The position also works collaboratively with the local team and with technical advisors and the IRIS+ETO team at IRC’s headquarters to promote high-quality data tracking and reporting within the Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database for all other programs outside of Reach. This includes identifying reports and other tools that enhance quality assurance, monitoring, and evaluation efforts. The position is full-time and is eligible for benefits.
Major Responsibilities
  • Recommend modifications to data collection and reporting processes for program quality and process improvement;
  • Utilize data and communicate data in interactions with internal staff, external stakeholders, CRSP and other donors, with the goal of improving program performance;
  • Assist staff members in developing and/or implementing program evaluation tools, including those needed to track, collect, and analyze data to meet requirements for new programs and donors;
  • Fully engage as a member of the team, participating in program meetings and staff development activities;
  • Adhere to relevant IRC policies and procedures, state laws, and donor guidelines; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Deputy Director, Economic Empowerment Manager, Resettlement and Integration Manager, and relevant headquarters technical advisors and IRIS+ETO team members to ensure sound data collection and information management systems are in place to support ongoing performance analysis and action;
  • Provide training and technical assistance to staff on data collection systems and tools;
  • Implement and follow internal data control processes, ensuring consistency with donor requirements;
  • Working collaboratively with program managers, maintain and improve quality by completing internal compliance and data monitoring research;
  • Perform regular quality assurance checks to ensure program compliance
Job Requirements
  • Must be extremely flexible, capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities;
  • Outstanding attention to detail;
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but may be substituted with equivalent years of work experience;
  • Advanced computing skills, with demonstrated proficiency in database systems, computer-based reporting, Microsoft Office applications, and data visualization techniques;
  • Strong English language skills, including written and verbal communications;
  • Solid decision-making capabilities, sound judgement and ethics consistent with the IRC Way; and
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Superb organizational, planning, time and task management and logistical skills;
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural non-profit and/or international setting with diverse client base;
  • Resettlement programming experience is preferred;
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or ETO strongly preferred;
  • At least two years of relevant experience, including working data and database systems;
  • Demonstrated commitment to IRC’s mission and safeguarding principles to ensure client and staff wellbeing.
Working Environment
  • Work is conducted typically in a standard office work environment. With hybrid/ remote work options that include a minimum of 2 days in the office.

Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time, regular position classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime under state and federal law. Starting compensation is $26.00 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits.
