About The Role

We’re looking for a rising star data analyst to join our small and scrappy data team. There is an opportunity to take the “bull by the horns” and grow into a data leadership role as our data function evolves. Today, the role looks like this:

• Work with cross functional teams internally to deliver data in a way they can understand, utilize and/or present to customers
• Figure out what data needs to be upleveled across the company and determine if we should leverage Looker, Python, R or something else 
• Build reports using SQL 
• Create Tableau dashboards and other data visualizations
• Write and run queries (we use getdbt.com)

About You

You will be a key member of our team and there’s a few things we know you need to have in order to succeed in this role:

Tools - To succeed in this role today, you need to have strong experience with Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau and some experience with Salesforce.

Strong Communication Skills - This isn’t a “back office” type of data role. You’ll be communicating and interacting with team members all across the business and will have to communicate complex information in a way that people outside of the data world can understand. 

Confidence - You’re not shy and know how to be proactive. Working in a startup, you can’t always wait for permission or direction. People who prioritize moving the ball down the field get the most done and there’s a lot to do.

Ability to Ask Great Questions - Part of this role is figuring out what people need and they often will not be able to tell you with crystal clear clarity. In order to be effective, you’ll sometimes need to act like a detective and get to the root of what kind of information they are looking for and why.

We are headquartered in Los Angeles and will prioritize candidates in Austin because we’re expanding our footprint there. However, we’re welcoming and flexible about remote work and prioritize a “remote first” working environment. For us, this means that our days follow a pretty standard schedule but they are action packed, focused and highly productive. Compensation

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 annually.
