Job Description

Position: Data Analyst
Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 4 months
Pay Range: $48-49/hr

  • Dive deep into data to uncover trends, data quality, and data completeness;
  • Work with various stakeholders and customers to identify reporting and data requirements for the assigned customer;
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by the client for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.
  • Develop new reports and data extracts and perform enhancements and fix defects for existing reports and data extracts;
  • Analyze data for data gaps and make recommendations for data quality improvement;
  • Create and maintain views into data sets to provide visualization of data analysis;
  • Write complex SQL queries and conduct SQL performance tuning;
  • Balance multiple incoming requests in a highly demanding work environment through effective communication and adherence to the process;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within the client’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
  • Develop data marts, data structures, functions, data warehouse fact & dimension tables, views, and indexes;
  • Work in either a Kanban or scrum agile development framework;
  • Provide clear, timely, and accurate communication to leadership and other key stakeholders on analysis, findings, key insights, progress, and delivery status;
  • Work closely with business analysts to ensure custom customer reporting moves to the standard reporting and data lake platforms on a long-term basis.
  • Deliver timely reports and data extracts to customers on an ongoing basis;
  • Develop strong working partnership with client service managers and collaborate with them to satisfy customer reporting needs;
  • Maintain compliance with the client’s policies, procedures and mission statement;
Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience for Data Analyst and 5 years related experience for Sr. Data Analyst;
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems;
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large data sets and relational databases;
  • Healthcare data experience preferred;
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, and visual), and analytical skills.
  • Passion for the use of data and business intelligence principles and their ability to apply those skills to solve customer reporting and data problems;
  • Advanced SQL skills;
  • Experience in Tableau preferred;
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology or related field required.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
