The Data Analyst partners with the company leadership and business development team to provide customer data concerning metrics of use, and company types within our software as well as marketing campaign performance metrics.

Requirements


What You’ll Be Doing:


Web Analytics:


  • Implement and manage web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics (GA4/UA), Adobe Analytics, etc.) to track website performance, user behavior, and conversion funnels.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track website metrics to measure and optimize user experience, engagement, and productivity metrics.


Business Intelligence/Analytics:


  • Design, develop, and maintain data models, databases, and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., QuickSight, OBIEE/OAC, Tableau, Power BI) to provide meaningful insights.
  • Extract and transform data from various sources (json, un/semistructured, structured, APIs), ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop and automate data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate and Prototype with stakeholders to define business requirements for analysis and reporting.


ETL/ELT:


  • Utilize Python to extract data from various sources, such as databases (internal, external, OLTP, OLAP), APIs, and flat files, and load it into appropriate data storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and automate data ingestion processes, apply data manipulation techniques, and perform data wrangling tasks to prepare data for analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and scripts to transform and clean raw data, ensuring data quality and consistency.


Support:


  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, define metrics, and establish data collection methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web analytics, business intelligence, and data engineering.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and dev teams to provide data-driven recommendations for improving business outcomes.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover opportunities and insights that contribute to business growth and optimization.

What You’ll Need:
  • SQL [2-3 yrs]
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Python programming for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) using tools like dbt, Dagster, etc.
  • Proven experience working with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA4 and GTM a plus), Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
  • Python [1-2 yrs]
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Google Analytics [1-2 yrs]
  • Data Warehousing [1-2 yrs]
  • Experience with data manipulation, optimization, transformation using SQL (Redshift/Postgres a plus), Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Desired work experience:
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings clearly.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis techniques (including supervised and unsupervised ML/AI algorithms).
  • Proficiency in Common Off the Shelf (COTS) business intelligence tools such as QuickSight, OBIEE/OAC, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to query and combine data from OLTP and OLAP sources.

Full-time, Direct Hire and 100% Remote role

Working hours are established by each team and department based on business needs. For this role, core working hours are typically between 8am - 5pm EST, Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of our businesses, we have busy seasons and “right-nows” that occasionally require working outside of core hours.
