Position Summary

The Data Analyst Apprenticeship is an earn-and-learn opportunity within an organization geared toward building upon the foundations of a career as a Data Analyst. While working and learning in this 12-month apprenticeship, you will spend four days per week in on-the-job training, and one day per week completing OpenClassrooms’ online data analyst training path - all while earning an income! At the completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship Program.

The program is open to applicants from all walks of life. For example, you might be:

  • Or even an experienced professional in a different field looking to switch careers
  • Or a recent college graduate looking to gain professional experience to improve your tech and digital skills
  • A recent high-school graduate looking to start a new career

Apprentice Responsibilities:

The work-study program participant will have the following responsibilities as part of the technical and work-study program:

  • Determine appropriate methods for data analysis.
  • Update knowledge about emerging industry or technology trends.
  • Evaluate technical data to determine the effect on designs or plans.
  • Implement security measures for computer or information systems.
  • Write computer programming code.
  • Prepare graphics or other visual representations of information.
  • Evaluate project designs to determine adequacy or feasibility.
  • Design research studies to obtain scientific information.
  • Supervise information technology personnel.
  • Apply mathematical principles or statistical approaches to solve problems in scientific or applied fields.
  • Prepare data for analysis.
  • Design software applications.
  • Evaluate data quality.
  • Analyze data to identify trends or relationships among variables.
  • Present research results to others.
  • Install computer software.
  • Prepare analytical reports.

Qualifications:

For eligibility, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Haveaccess to a computer(PC or Mac), headphones, a webcam, and a stable internet connection.
  • Have ahigh school diploma,vocational certificate, or equivalent.
  • Language:Have a strong verbal and writtenlevel of English(for non-native speakers, a CEFR level of B2, an IELTS band score of 6.5, or a TOEFL score of 80 is recommended).
  • At least 8 GB of RAM and 100 GB of storage space available on your computer.
  • Administrator rights to your computer in order to install required programs.
  • Availability to train for 12 months in the registered Apprenticeship program.
  • Be over18 years of age. Be aU.S. citizenand have the right to work in the U.S.

Technical prerequisites:

  • Programming language (HTML, SQL, Python ...)
  • Fundamentals of probability, statistics, and linear algebra (high-school degree level)
  • Manipulating data (Excel, BI tool ...)

OR

These skills could be validated by having successfully completed a bootcamp or certification program or the following courses:

Master the Fundamentals of Excel

Learn Python Basics for Data Analysis.
