Cybersecurity Engineer Senior Jobs

This position contributes to Starbucks success through the design, development, deployment, monitoring and alerting of security services. You should have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, a deep technical understanding of modern cybersecurity threats and relevant protections against them. On top of this you have a demonstrable track record of a hands-on approach to maturing capabilities in highly targeted environments at scale. Success for the role will be by contributing to the delivery of a world class cybersecurity program that is positioned to address, contain, and drive successful resolution to any cybersecurity situation.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities

• Ensures documentation for managed platforms/services are detailed, thorough, and up to date.
• Participate as a key member in security incident response activities.
• Design, develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain scalable, resilient cybersecurity services.
• Acts as a mentor and escalation point for more junior members of the team.
• Facilitates remediation of threats by working with other cybersecurity and IT teams.
• Bring an “SRE” mindset to the team: designing and deploying solutions with automation wherever practical.

Basic Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to automate tasks and interact with APIs using common scripting languages.
• Ability to quickly learn new technology concepts.
• 4+ years of experience working in an information technology discipline.
• 4+ years of infrastructure / information security experience.
• Proficient in programming with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, Ruby, C++, or C#.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements such as SOX and PCI.
• Passionate about cybersecurity and self-driven to become an expert.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting cybersecurity tools in enterprise environments.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Deep technical understanding of modern cybersecurity threats.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with infrastructure as code technologies.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPM, or others focused on cybersecurity, data privacy or information risk management.
