Delta Air Lines is looking for a talented experienced Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to be a part of Delta’s Information Security team committed to safeguarding information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification or destruction.
As a Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will use your technical experience, to profile new and emerging threats to Delta's IT landscape. The Threat Intelligence Analyst will monitor third party security related websites, forums, and mailing lists for information regarding applicable threats to Delta. The Threat Intelligence Analyst will correlate and collate the information; and disseminate to appropriate teams for response. In addition, the Threat Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for writing and delivering daily threat intelligence reports to C-Suite level executives.
The Threat Intelligence Analyst will identify, monitor, assess, and counter the threat posed by cyber actors against Delta's information systems. They provide assessment, tactical analysis, and advice for operations. They also apply their technical knowledge to solving complex intelligence problems, produce short-term and long-term written assessments, and brief Delta's leadership.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop reports using data hosted in multiple sources (e.g. Threat Intelligence Platform, spreadsheets) and communicate clearly to management and other team members.
  • Perform threat hunt operations using known adversary tactics, techniques and procedures as well as indicators of attack in order to detect adversaries with persistent access to the enterprise.
  • Independently research and comprehensively analyze actionable cyber threat observables pertinent to the organization.
  • Perform complex project support for security incident response efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance pertaining to risks and control measures associated with emerging threats.
  • Provide analysis reports in numerous formats based upon cyber threat research.
  • Effectively ascertain and leverage trustworthy open and closed-source cyber threat intelligence data feeds.
  • Identify potential security exposures that may currently exist or may pose a potential future threat to Delta's applications. Ensure management is notified when these exposures are identified, as well as a proposed solution for remediation.
  • Identify emerging and persistent threats to the organization's networks, systems, and applications.

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills; individual should be able to resolve problems in a calm and quick manner and display a high degree of initiative and drive.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Comfortable handling multiple deliverables and able to manage priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong written and verbal technical and non-technical communication skills. Assures smooth flowing, timely transmission of critical information. Oral and written communication is well organized, clear, accurate, grammatically correct, and is adapted for the target audience.
  • Where permitted by applicable law, you have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
  • At least 2 years of Threat Intelligence related experience or 3 years of experience in Cyber Security with at least 1 year of Threat Intelligence related experience.
  • Experience using a SIEM.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Ability to be effective in a high stress environment.
  • Solid understanding of networking (WAN, LAN, wLAN), network domains (Internet, intranet, DMZ), communication techniques/protocols (IP and others), and their combined effects on network and host systems security.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Experience in vulnerability research, malware analysis and exploit investigation.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience using a Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP)
  • Preferred key industry certifications such as CEH, Security+, CISSP, CISA, CISM, GCIH, etc.
  • Information security experience in the areas of cyber threat intelligence, security monitoring/SOC, vulnerability management, Incident Response, or penetration testing.
  • Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Security.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
  • Familiarity with YARA, OpenIOC, and STIX frameworks.
  • AWS Certification is a plus.
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix platforms.
