What you’ll be able to do:

As we move rapidly forward into the future, the convergence of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) is key to efficient and robust manufacturing processes. As the lines between these segments blur, we need to ensure the security of our Manufacturing IT and Industrial Control System (ICS) Environments against the emerging threat landscape. A significant aspect of this security is the deployment of applications intended for secure and safe business operations.

  • Setup/Support the COTS applications.
  • Provide tactical support when required for COTS validation and rollout on industrial devices.
  • Perform regular vulnerability scans of threat intelligence sources to determine potential risk to deployed solutions within the manufacturing domain.
  • Administer Windows servers to support COTS applications.
  • Perform tactical and strategic tasks to support new cyber security solution deployment within multiple manufacturing sites.
  • You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across the Global Ford enterprise, including engagement with Manufacturing, Manufacturing IT, IT Application Development, IT Operations, IT Architecture, Cyber Security, and external vendors.
  • Coordinating and participating in validation and test activities in collaboration with Advanced Manufacturing teams.
  • Develop test scenarios for application verification and deployment.
  • Work with cross functional teams for solution issue resolution.
  • Become knowledgeable in Plant/MFG Quality process, tools & methods.
  • Implement and support the integration of security COTS applications in Manufacturing.

The minimum requirements we seek:
  • 5+ years of experience in application deployment and troubleshooting.
  • 5+ years of experience with Windows Operating Systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Cyber Security

Our preferred requirements:
  • Experience in working in an advanced development/deployment team.
  • Experience working independently as well as on a team.
  • Understanding of systems architecture concepts.
  • Familiar with various operating systems and industrial PC Hardware.
  • Familiar with development and use of scripts and test harnesses for testing and evaluation.
  • Exposure to Manufacturing Plant Floor Systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of IT/OT integration and the associated challenges and opportunities.
