Summary:


The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for addressing customer inquiries related to requests for a quote, order details, and information about our products. This role is also responsible for responding to customer complaints and driving resolution.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Maintain active HAZMAT certifications for DOT, IATA and IMDG
  • Schedule shipments and ensure trucks arrive as scheduled; create Bills of Lading and notify customers when shipments depart or of the need to be rescheduled
  • Address customer complaints
  • Maintain on-time delivery performance records as well as customer complaint log
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Obtain freight quotes using software from contracted third party logistics company and work with other freight companies as needed
  • Process customer credit card payments and communicate with Accounting regarding customer payment as needed
  • Support the Sales Managers and Director of Sales as needed
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to requests for quote, order details and documentation
  • Review and enter customer purchase orders; communicate with Operations regarding lead time; provide formal order acknowledgement to customers


Qualifications And Requirements


  • 2+ years of customer service experience required
  • Ability to effectively participate in cross functional teams
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills
