Cardinal Building Products is looking for a Customer Service Representative who will deliver top-notch customer support, build strong and trusting relationships, and play a key role in managing customer accounts. Cardinal Building Products provides high-end outdoor living products, including railing, fencing, roofing supplies, siding, decking, and stone. For almost 40 years, our focus has been providing quality building products to the residential and commercial markets. We are interested in people who want to be problem solvers, treat others respectfully, and bring quality decision-making.
Our Customer Service Representative Will:
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Answer telephone sales
  • Assist customers with pricing and quotes
  • Write up customer orders
  • Address customer complaints courteously & professionally
  • Document all customer information using our CRM
  • Process orders – including follow-through on backorders and returned materials
  • Respond to email leads
Our Ideal Customer Service Representative:
  • Team Player: Humble enough to admit mistakes, driven to do a great job, treats teammates & customers with care and respect
  • Great Communicator: Must be able to communicate effectively & clearly with customers and coworkers in person, on the phone, and via email.
  • Gracious: Despite our best efforts, sometimes we fail to meet our customer's expectations or make mistakes. This role involves investigating our failures and regaining the trust of our customers by helping to make things right.
  • Detailed: Able to accurately take and process customer orders.
  • Knowledgeable: Has at least two years of experience working in sales or customer service.
  • Efficient: Able to adapt to a fast-paced sales environment
  • Experienced: Previous experience providing customer service and support – experience in the Lumber and Building Materials Industries is a plus, but we are willing to train!
  • Computer Skills: Able to learn software, use MS Office products, and type efficiently
