About The Opportunity

Camp Counselors will contribute to our mission by maintaining a safe and clean environment, proactively managing dog health & behavior, and providing the best customer experience to our Campers and Pet Parents.

Do you love dogs and have experience with different breeds? Do you love providing world class customer service to clients? Do you like fast paced environments? We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service representative preferably with experience working in the pet industry.

This position can be extremely fast paced during morning drop-offs and evening pick-ups, and requires vigorous attention to detail as there are a lot of moving parts.

You will be dealing with customers, checking dogs in and out, ensuring reservations and appointments are being coordinated properly, and customer requests are being completed. You will often need to stop what you are doing to deal with a phone call or a customer that walks in.

The position requires extensive communication and coordination among your peers. A working phone, voicemail, and general responsiveness is required.

Shifts: 8 hours per day, 6:00am-2:30 and 11:30am to 7:30pm. Weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities of Customer Service Representative:

  • Handle customer service issues as they arise
  • Check dogs in and out all day long using our database system
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Welcome all customers promptly with an outgoing and friendly demeanor
  • Answering phones
  • Giving helpful tours of the facility
  • Monitoring and obtaining vaccination records from customers and vets
  • Answering phones, including customer calls & educating them on our processes and services we offer
  • Ensuring all daycare, boarding, and grooming reservations are accurately entered and approved in POS system & ensuring all new dogs are signed up properly
  • Responding to customer emails in a grammatically correct and professional manner
  • Flexibility on hours and willingness to work as a team to provide coverage (25-30 hours per week, occasional overtime if needed)
  • Selling daycare, boarding & grooming packages
  • Cleaning of reception, tour areas, and reception bathroom
  • Learning/memorizing an extensive amount of customer/dog policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Be able to follow strict safety rules and protocols
  • This is a very physically demanding job.
  • Constantly walk and/or stand entire shift on concrete floors
  • Be detail oriented
  • Available 2-3 days a week
  • Available weekends and Holidays
  • At least 18 years or older with a High School diploma
  • Be able to lift at least 40-50 pounds

Interview information:

  • Be prepared to take written assessments
  • Be prepared for the interview to take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours of your time.

  • Camp Manager and Camp Assistant Managers

Compensation $13.39 per hour plus tips

  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to reach at or below shoulder level
  • Ability to push or pull up to 40+ lbs.
  • Ability to lift or carry 40+ lbs.
  • Ability to squat and kneel
