We are seeking an energetic and personable student to support our Contact Center operations team where students and customers are assisted through inbound calls, live-chat, and instant messaging to answer diverse questions and provides accurate guidance in real time with the highest degree of customer service.
This position offers a unique perspective and insight into important services and operations the University provides to assist students in their success and retention.
Students will be trained on live-chat, inbound calls and other operational tools such as Banner, OnBase, Oracle RightNow (live-chat) and MS Teams to assist students.
Students must be achieving Satisfactory Academic Progress and receiving Federal or State Work-Study funding for the 22/23 and 23/24 aid years.
Seeking students available to work 12-16 hrs./week, during the fall and spring terms, and interest to work over the summer and two weeks prior to the start of spring term.
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Experience in delivering high levels of customer service: The candidate should have prior experience in providing customer service and should be committed to delivering high-quality service with each interaction.
- Excellent communication skills: The candidate should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with customers through live chat, inbound calls, and Teams instant messaging.
- Strong interpersonal skills: The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and be a self-starter, problem solver, critical thinker, and able to assist others when needed.
- Good computer skills: The candidate should be proficient in using computers and various software programs to perform the necessary job duties.
- Excellent time management: The candidate should have strong time management skills, be reliable, and able to multi-task effectively.
- Enthusiasm for learning new material: The candidate should have a willingness and eagerness to learn new information and keep up-to-date with the latest trends and practices in the industry.
Overall, the ideal candidate for this job should be customer-focused, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a problem solver, a team player, and possess a strong work ethic.
