Custodian/ Janitor School (Part-Time And Full-Time Positions Available)

Summary
Mount Pleasant Childcare Center is seeking detailed oriented individual to assist in cleaning school. This job requires a variety of custodial activities to maintain the facility and grounds. This position requires collecting trash, high and low dusting, vacuum and much more. Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all task. The cleaner must be able to pass background checks. This individual must be kind, friendly, and be able to around young children in school setting. This person will have to be able to assist teachers with classroom cleanup.
Duties
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Remove trash, place in dumpster and replace liners.
• Vacuums, sweeps and mops floors; dust, polish, and cleans
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds unassisted
• Must be able to stand on feet throughout the day
• Monitor and control cleaning supplies, while minimizing waste
• Must be able to twist, bend an squat frequently; kneel occasionally
• Ability and willingness to work alongside coworkers when requested
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements and simple grasping constantly
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Clean and sanitizing bathrooms and classrooms
• Must a understanding of the proper use of cleaning chemicals, supplies and cleaning equipment
• Clean glass, mirrors and walls

Requirements

• Must be able to speak some English
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must have a basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals
• Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
• Ability and willingness to work with children
