- Compile basic written records related to assigned programs or facility.
- Operate a motor vehicle safely to transport Youth Aides to work sites.
- Lead, train, and instruct the work of a crew of Youth Aides.
- Lead various recreation and youth development program activities.
- Inspect equipment, recommend replacement or repair as needed; ensure proper care and use of equipment.
- Open and close City facilities monitor facility use; prepare and set up facilities for use.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Participate in the work and train Youth Aides to perform manual labor projects using general landscaping tools, graffiti abatement equipment, paint, and chemicals.
- Serve as an example and role model to Youth Aides.
- Pass a tuberculosis screening test.
- Pass a physical and criminal background check.
- This position is designated as Mandatory Reporter; completion of Mandatory Reporter training is required within two weeks of employment.
- Conditional Hire: Upon receipt of a conditional offer, the selected candidate must complete and pass LiveScan/fingerprinting. If applicable, candidates may also need to pass a pre-employment medical exam, controlled substance and/or alcohol test, and possess any required licensure or certification prior to receiving a start date from the Department. Failure to meet these prerequisites will be grounds for withdrawal of your conditional offer of employment.
