Seeking a highly creative, senior-level marketing director at CMH Label Group, an independent record company, to oversee all marketing aspects of the label’s Vitamin String Quartet series.Looking for someone with high-level visual and creative skills, to unify the look and feel of the series across all marketing fronts, as well as conceive and execute visually compelling, effective marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate would have 7+ years experience in music marketing, at a senior / management level, including digital, physical and/or live music.
This position will work closely with the brand manager / chief creative director currently overseeing the series.
Primary responsibilities:
- Liaise and coordinate with internal art department as to artwork and branding.
- Oversee and develop the visual presentation of the brand across all marketing fronts.
- Liaise and coordinate with internal sales team on campaigns, DSP marketing, and radio.
- Oversee VSQ’s social media coordinator / manager and other direct reports as required.
- Oversee aspects of the VSQ brand outside of marketing, as is sometimes required at a small company like CMH.
- Liaise and coordinate with relevant external teams—e.g., partner labels, brand agencies, PR companies.
- Help develop the vision, voice, and content of the brand, through its marketing efforts.
- Oversee the maintenance of artist profiles on digital music services (photo, bio, pinned content, playlists, etc).
- Track campaigns and analyze how they impact revenue / brand awareness.
- Develop and implement high-level marketing strategies and oversee the development and execution of visually compelling, effective marketing campaigns.
- Drive the growth of the brand in both domestic and international markets.
- Oversee all VSQ marketing fronts: website, digital advertising, social media, video / content, email marketing, influencer marketing, brand partnerships, and PR.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in music marketing, at a senior / management level, including marketing digital, physical and/or live music.
- Wide knowledge of e-commerce / email marketing and experience with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms.
- Drives initiatives to completion. “Keeps the trains running on time.”
- Ability to conceive and execute high-level, creative campaigns and visual assets.
- Skilled copywriter / editor, able to capture the voice of the brand and speak to our user / customer.
- Ability to lead and manage others, able to develop teams and team members, hold people accountable.
- Able to adapt quickly and shift priorities and focus when timely opportunities (or challenges) arise, and lead a team through those shifts.
- Passionate about music and pop culture.
- Experience with visual storytelling and producing compelling and engaging content.
- Deep knowledge of all social platforms along with music streaming platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and Amazon.
- Collaborative, someone who enjoys the creative process with considerable input from others.
- Super-organized and a great communicator.Able to handle oversight of many areas and projects at once.
- Knowledge and experience in creating and executing advertising campaigns.
