Creative Concept Director Jobs

As the creative concept director, you will be tasked with researching design and marketing trends, creating moodboards and pitch decks, concepting new branded campaigns based on limited direction, and designing individual deliverables to support those campaigns as needed. In this position, you will develop dynamic creative solutions that advance the SCAD brand, deliver solutions to both internal and external creative challenges, and support team members in reaching aggressive goals at a fast pace. It is crucial that you learn and understand the unique selling point of the SCAD brand to channel them into well researched visual communication concepts.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires positivity, productivity, forward-thinking, and a commitment to enabling others to execute great ideas. Additionally, you will work with the senior art director throughout the conception, design, and implementation process, sourcing inspiration from up-to-date trends. As needed, you will be expected to assist with the development of physical and digital collateral to support creative initiatives across all locations. As the creative concept director, you may also be asked to work in support of the SCAD University Press book and additional projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of multi-channel marketing best practices
• Bachelor’s degree and previous experience in print and digital design
• At least 7 years’ experience in working with creative teams
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, presentation software, and in presenting information concisely and accurately
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced presentation design skills
• Previous experience designing pitch desks in an agency setting and in publishing
• Illustration skills

Travel Required: Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
