You'd be joining a collaborative team focused on helping support, stabilize and enhance the wellbeing of families involved with DCP&P.

What You'll Do As a Counselor

• Complete documentation consistent with program and agency requirements.   
• Work collaboratively with DCP&P and community service providers.
• Work in conjunction with a therapist to teach, coach and model parenting skills and effective parent-child interactions.  
• Provide weekly in-home counseling and case management to parents, children and families in Gloucester County
• Advocate and link families to concrete services, supports and community resources.
• Address safety concerns and enhance functioning and well-being of parents and children

What You'll Contribute As a Counselor

• Must demonstrate initiative, creativity, reliability and the ability to work well independently
• Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology or social work  
• Strong engaging, communication and collaboration skills
• Professionalism, ethics and a commitment to excellence in care
• Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment
• Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record
