Corporate Trainer – Sumner, Wa

Overview
The corporate trainer is responsible for helping the company develop, maintain and train standardized

work across all departments and locations. This position is a vital business partner who is passionate

about training & committed to excellence while ensuring manufacturing, technical and support

personnel are properly trained in their roles. The role is the point of contact for consulting on curriculum

development for new or modified roles and cross-department training projects. The training coordinator

is a role model in the organization, understanding and promoting AS&D mindset and behaviors that

drive a quality culture.

• Coordinate, schedule, facilitate and document all training company-wide

• Know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively

promote safety at work. Must comply with safety policies of the company and site.

• Maintain standardized work document files on electronic network

• Maintain paper copies in all departments

• Identify training needs and current training gaps

• Train employees on standardized work procedures

• Document all procedures in company

• Develop materials for training

• Define and report performance-based learning objectives and key metrics

• Help develop a learning management system

• Develop and maintain employee certification system for jobs/roles, including initial certifications

and regular recurrency training

• Work independently and within a team on special non-recurring and ongoing projects

• This role will require a limited amount of travel to our warehouse/manufacturing facilities

• Will require working limited overtime, including working a flexible and variable work to cover

training for multiple shifts.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes

• A willingness to dive deep and become a product expert

• Application of best practices for adult learning theories, training facilitation and delivery

• Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically including Word, Excel,

Power Point, and Outlook

• Excellent communicator, including public speaking

• Able to communicate status, needs, forecasts, risks and timelines effectively to leadership

• 3+ years of experience

• Knowledge of ERP systems, business and manufacturing software

• Type 40+ WPM

• Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle numerous workstreams

• Displays a clear willingness to listen to others. Has good interpersonal skills and works

interdepartmentally in an effective manner to achieve objectives.

• Shows commitment and dedication and strives to be ahead of schedule.

• Practices safety awareness at all times and considers impact of actions prior to executing

activities.

• Is passionate for training and to train others.

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of experience in a related field

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• Must be comfortable working in an industrial production facility while wearing proper safety

gear (safety shoes, safety glasses, ear protection).
