Description


Konami Gaming is looking for a Corporate Planning Analyst to join our team!


This position is responsible for assisting management in the development and implementation of the Company short- and long-termbudget planning and on-going financial analysis.


In addition to budget management and financial analysis, this role will assist in leading cross-functional projects directly related to the Company enterprise resource planning (ERP) system including projectkick off, planning, monitoring & controlling and closure with guidance from leadership team. Serves as a liaison within other divisions of Konami Gaming and Systems and counterparts at Konami Headquarters to ensure mutual cooperation and communication between both parties.


This position also requires the flexibility to act autonomously at all times while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.


What you'll be doing:


  • May facilitate meetings and drive accountability for the achievement of deliverables on assigned projects.
  • Work cross functionally to develop project requirements including risk assessment.
  • Assists in preparing monthly/annual budget reports to Director for regular review and monitoring of the business.
  • Assists in preparing reports about discrepancies and amendments that occurred in the budget, in coordination with executive management and department heads.
  • Assists in storing and tracking data on modifications, efficient processes, and long-range forecasts.
  • Translates documents from English into Japanese. Able to take minutes during meetings with Konami Headquarters. (Desired but not essential.)
  • Assists Management with the analysis and additional tasks within other special research projects or duties which may arise.
  • Complies with the companys regulatory guidelines and corporate policies at all times.
  • Acts as liaison between Konami Headquarters and KGI, or other subsidiaries as directed. Coordinates meetings or activities between Corporate Planning department and other departments.
  • Proactively identify continuous improvement initiatives within the scope of work.
  • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to assist Director in determining department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate data gathering to assist in Sarbannes - Oxley Audit inquiries.
  • Prepares analysis by pulling quantitative and qualitative data and uses the information to analyze, summarize, and prepare reports and recommendations to Director for decision making.
  • Assists Director by providing necessary information to meet department and company audits.
  • Reports any discrepancies, changes or recommendations, and/or problems for resolution to senior management.

Qualifications


What we'll want you to have:


  • Able to conduct detailed examination of all documentation to ensure proper processing and compliance with company policies.
  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training in audit, process improvement, business management and financial analysis. Multi-lingual preferred.
  • Expresses views in a fluent, clear, logical manner. Communicates openly and honestly while promoting an open exchange of ideas. Delivers information effectively in a variety of written formats including reports, letters, memos, emails, etc.
  • Intermediate and Above computer skills in MS Office, Lotus Notes, Pronto or related business software preferred. Ability to use advanced functions in Excel such as using formulas to perform calculations and analysis, creating graphs, tables, and Pivot Tables. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain gaming licensure.
  • Proactively address problems and involve others as needed to prevent escalation. Make sound and timely decisions based on knowledge, expertise, and accurate sources of available information.
  • Demonstrate expertise in functional job area. Engage in continual learning and personal development. Share knowledge and feedback to contribute to the learning of others.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Manages monthly and annual expenses to budget expectations. Actively managed P&L. Possesses a clear working knowledge of budget and finance processes.
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally and efficiently (verbal and written) with all levels of the business.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Consistently produce work that is accurate, high quality and complete. Hold self and others accountable for work and work standards. Complete work on time and within budget. Manage time effectively to achieve output and work product consistent with company and department objectives.
  • Approach and implement change positively. Modify behaviors as needed to implement change and adopt innovation. Identify opportunities and generate ideas for change, innovation, or improvement.
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, general and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Proficiency in Japanese for communication with Konami Headquarters and the subsequent translation and interpreting of two-way information for the purpose of making business decisions. (Desired but not essential)
  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fields from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
