Core Collective Member Jobs

We’re searching for someone to partner closely with our Director to build out arts and workshop programming at our space on Milwaukee Street! This role is critical to our long-term success as an organization, and will necessitate close involvement and regular communication with the rest of the Core Collective to plan and execute an arts programming schedule.

About the role:

• This role would likely require around 20-25 hours a month, depending on workshop and programming schedule
• Handle social media promotion and outreach to drive engagement and attendance at weekend events, find creative ways to expand Communication’s footprint in the local arts community
• Solicit and generate ideas for arts events and workshops at our space, collaborating closely with Director and Core Collective to organize and execute weekly events
• The following skills may help this person succeed in the role: event planning, arts education, workshop coordination, administrative, some experience with social media for promotion
• Willingness to be on-site once/weekend, with flexibility

In addition to the expectations outlined for their area, all of our Core Collective members are expected to:

• Communicate with Core Collective and volunteers on Slack (phone/website app) and via Communication email address
• Collaborate with the other Collective members to work toward Communication’s overall vision and long-term programming goals
• Coordinate within the group to facilitate use of our shared physical space
• Attend Core Collective meetings (typically once/month)
• Share responsibility for the upkeep of our space, including attending periodic organizing days
